Christopher is a criminal and commercial litigator. In the criminal field he represents clients in a wide range of criminal offences in the Magistrates', District and High Courts defending prosecutions brought by the ICAC, the Immigration Department, the Customs & Excise Department, the Labour Department and the Police (including commercial crime, computer crime, vice, fraud, thefts, assaults, dangerous drugs, and driving offences). He regularly represents defendants in trials, pleas in mitigation, bail applications, appeals and other ancillary applications in the criminal courts.
Christopher usually represents clients as solicitor-advocate but instructs Counsel in defending crimes tried in the High Court.
Between September 2006 and February 2008 Christopher conducted the longest trial in the history of Haldanes acting as the solicitor-advocate for 2 Defendants in multiple conspiracy and money-laundering charges in the District Court. Both of his clients were acquitted of all charges with costs awarded in their favour.
In commercial litigation, he has a busy practice in aviation insurance litigation, debt recovery and mortgage actions. He also represents Plaintiffs in personal injuries actions.
