Gina has extensive experience advising multinational companies on contentious and non-contentious IP matters in Greater China and throughout the Asia Pacific region.
She has managed brand portfolios and has experience with trade mark clearance searches, trade mark prosecution and Registry proceedings. Gina also advises on IP and IT aspects of commercial transactions, including IP due diligence, and IP and IT commercial agreements, including distribution, manufacturing, licensing, agency and franchising arrangements. She also advises on personal data, confidentiality and trade secrets issues.
Gina worked in the London and Hong Kong offices of London Magic Circle firm Linklaters from 1998-2003. She then joined the China and Hong Kong IP practice of Deacons. She brings an in-house perspective to her work, having served as General Counsel (Asia Pacific) for the footwear brand Crocs for two years.
Gina graduated in law from Cambridge University (Corpus Christi College) and is qualified in Hong Kong and England and Wales. She speaks English, Cantonese and Mandarin.
