Clara was admitted as a solicitor in Hong Kong in 2007. At Haldanes, she has been involved in preparing and advising on various agreements relating to motion pictures and music industries, including music composition agreements, script acquisition agreements, producer agreements and artist agreements. Clara has also acted in other commercial transactions including employment matters, shareholders' agreement and licensing arrangements.

Prior to joining the legal profession, Clara had eight years of previous work experience, both in the U.S. and in Hong Kong. She has worked as a research analyst at the U.S.-based firm Frost & Sullivan, covering the areas of satellite and broadband communications. In 2000, Clara returned to Hong Kong and joined a company that provided a broadband multimedia platform for the delivery of live and on-demand broadcast programming over the Internet. She also spent sometime working as a freelance writer and editor in Hong Kong. Clara was born in Hong Kong and educated in America. She has spent 17 years living in California.
