| Experience:
Exclusively non-contentious corporate and commercial work, mainly for large corporations/multinationals but also for institutions and individuals. Practice in Hong Kong (and the Asia Pacific region) since 1982 has involved most forms of commercial/corporate agreement at the private company level including dealing on a regular basis with corporate set up and investment agreements; share and asset acquisitions; merger and joint venture transactions; distributorship, agency and similar commercial agreements; partnership, consultancy and participation agreements; and related subjects. Also, financial services work including investment fund establishment/authorisation, securities investment advisory/dealing work, insurance work, the drafting of various agreements common in the industry and frequent dealings with governmental or other regulatory bodies such as the Hong Kong SFC and Insurance Commission.

Stephen first moved from London (with Norton Rose) to Hong Kong in 1982 to join Denton Hall Burgin & Warrens. In 1992, Stephen joined Haldanes as a joint senior partner to establish the firm's Company and Commercial Department.
