Andrew Powner Recognised in China Business Law Journal’s A-List

We are proud to announce that our Managing Partner Andrew Powner has been recognised by China Business Law Journal (CBLJ) in their highly-regarded A-List 2021 as one of China’s Elite 100 Lawyers (Foreign Firms). He has been honoured with this award for 2 years in a row.

The A-List identifies top practitioners in mainland China and Hong Kong and is based on extensive research conducted by China Business Law Journal. Nominations were received from professionals at a wide range of Chinese and international companies, law firms and other organsations. The list reflects the nominations received combined with CBLJ editorial team’s years of collective experience in analysing China’s legal market.

Andrew is a leading litigator and has been practising as a criminal litigation lawyer in Hong Kong for almost 3 decades. He has defended many large scale white collar commercial crime cases brought by the Independent Commission Against Corruption and the Commercial Crime Bureau, as well as representing clients arrested by the Hong Kong Police Force, from obtaining bail at the police station until trial. Andrew has also represented many clients who are investigated by the Securities and Futures Commission, the Stock Exchange of Hong Kong, and the Hong Kong Monetary Authority; as well as by the Hong Kong Immigration and Customs & Excise Departments.
