The Court of Milan absolves all Defendants in the Berlusconi-Mediatrade Case
MILAN, July 29, 2014 /PRNewswire/ — The Wiltshire Group of Companies, represented in Hong Kong by Andrew Powner and Jonathan Midgley of Haldanes, announced today that on July 8, 2014, after about 2 years and 6 months of trial, and after almost nine years from the starting of the investigations in October 2005, the Milan Court of first instance, section II criminal, in charge of the so-called Mediatrade proceeding, has issued a judgment of acquittal in relation to all charges for all defendants, including two Hong Kong business women, Paddy CHAN Mei Yiu and Katherine HSU May Chun, Pier Silvio Berlusconi, Fedele Confalonieri, Daniele Lorenzano, Gabriella Ballabio, Giorgio Dal Negro, Giovanni Stabilini, Paolo Del Bue, and US producer Frank Agrama. The Wiltshire Group of Companies, which is owned by Ms Paddy CHAN Mei Yiu, includes Wiltshire Trading Limited Hong Kong, Harmony Gold Limited Hong Kong, and Melchers Limited NV.
