Chanel presented its Spring/Summer 2027 ready-to-wear collection at the Grand Palais in Paris, with the runway including Hong Kong model Christina Chung (曾寶珍) among the cast. Her appearance formed part of the house’s broader selection of models for the season and drew attention for the poised presence she brought to several looks.

Chung began modelling at 18 before leaving the industry to pursue a career in banking and human resources. After more than a decade she stepped back to focus on family life. Raised in a traditional household and a mother of seven, she later decided to reclaim time for herself once her children were grown.

The casting continues Chanel’s practice of incorporating experienced models alongside newer faces. Chung, who has previously walked for the house in haute couture and earlier ready-to-wear presentations, has become a recurring presence in the brand’s Paris shows, reflecting an openness to mature talent with a distinct personal style.

Her inclusion also highlights Chanel’s engagement with Asian models on the main Paris calendar. Having first appeared for the house after earlier work with other major labels, Chung’s continued presence on the Chanel runway underscores the brand’s interest in diverse age representation and the particular elegance associated with seasoned walkers.

By featuring Chung in the Spring/Summer 2027 collection, Chanel reinforced a runway narrative that values presence and individuality as much as conventional youth-driven casting, while giving a Hong Kong model a visible platform within one of the industry’s most closely watched shows.

Organised by the Macau Productivity and Technology Transfer Center (澳門生產力暨科技轉移中心) and the Commerce and Investment Promotion Institute (招商投資促進局), the Macao Fashion Festival 2026 (澳門服裝節) continued its programme at the Cotai Expo, The Venetian Macao. The day’s brand runway featured collections from ella épeler, Hanz Coquilla Alta Costura, LA FINE and the Signature Jewelry Studio (信印珠寶工作室), spanning high jewellery, fashion apparel and haute couture pieces.

In the afternoon, the Macau Academy of Flower Arrangement Designer (澳門花藝設計師學會) presented the body-floral fashion show “WINGSCAPE.” Combining floral design with body art, the performance was structured around four creative themes: light-and-shadow atmosphere, metallic skeleton, liquid flow and future geometry, exploring the fusion of flowers, structure, colour and silhouette with fashion.

Upcoming highlights on 23 October include the special presentation “Xinjiang Atlas Meets Macao: A Fashion Show of Chinese–Western Cultural Convergence (當新疆艾德萊斯遇見澳門—中西文化交匯時尚盛典),” featuring 30 garments created by local designers using the traditional Xinjiang intangible-heritage fabric. The same day will also host the Macau Fashion Design Industry Association (澳門時裝設計行業協會)’s dedicated show “Light of Macao Designers 2026 – Rebirth of Illusion (幻序重生),” showcasing original works by multiple Macao designers.

The festival has also received recognition for sustainability efforts, winning the champion award in the 31st Green Booth Award presented jointly by the Macau Fair & Trade Association (澳門展貿協會) and the Macao Low Carbon Development Association (澳門低碳發展協會). The four-day event continues to emphasise original design, cultural exchange and cross-disciplinary collaboration.

Louis Vuitton’s global one-of-a-kind concept structure “The Louis” (路易號), a three-storey ship-inspired building adorned with the brand’s Monogram pattern, has been docked at the north plaza of HKRI Taikoo Hui (興業太古匯北廣場) in Shanghai since late June 2025. Combining public art, brand exhibition and high-end retail, it has become a major visitor attraction, drawing 80,000 to 100,000 people per day to the mall.

The installation has contributed to broader commercial revitalisation of the Nanjing West Road area (南京西路商圈). HKRI Taikoo Hui recorded an 82% year-on-year rise in retail sales in the first half of 2026. By mid-2026, the wider Nanjing West Road district was seeing daily footfall of more than 500,000, with overseas visitors up over 43% and overall district consumption up 15.7%; spending in the immediate vicinity of “The Louis” rose 61%.

Nearby Zhang Yuan (張園), a historic Shikumen complex jointly revitalised by Shanghai Jing’an Properties (上海靜安置業) and Swire Properties (太古地產), complements the modern mall experience by blending heritage architecture with contemporary brands and cultural events. During the 2026 National Day holiday, Zhang Yuan recorded a 42% increase in footfall and a 200% rise in sales compared with the previous year.

The success of “The Louis” illustrates how experiential, culturally integrated luxury destinations can generate sustained traffic and spillover spending, supporting Shanghai’s efforts to strengthen its position as an international consumption centre through the fusion of heritage, retail and immersive brand storytelling.

ALO, the Los Angeles-based premium wellness and lifestyle brand, opened its first Greater China flagship at K11 MUSEA in Tsim Sha Tsui at the end of September 2026. In its opening week the two-storey, waterfront store of more than 7,000 square feet generated almost HK$20 million in sales, the highest first-week figure among non-jewellery and watch tenants at the mall.

Local customers accounted for about 40% of the opening-week sales, while visitors made up the remaining 60%. The store is one of the brand’s largest flagships globally and forms the starting point of a planned nine-store expansion across Hong Kong, Shanghai, Beijing, Shenzhen, Hangzhou, Chengdu and Macao.

K11 Hong Kong CEO Horace Lam (林灝哲) described ALO’s combination of fashion and healthy living as closely aligned with the mall’s strategy of curating luxury retail alongside lifestyle experiences. The strong debut is seen as further evidence of K11 MUSEA’s ability to attract young, high-spending customers and to serve as a preferred entry point for international brands expanding in Greater China.

The brand supported the opening with wellness-focused events, including activities timed around International Yoga Day and a community run along the harbourfront, reinforcing its positioning at the intersection of fashion, fitness and lifestyle.
