Haldanes joins Belt and Road Roundtable on Shanghai-Hong Kong Collaboration

Joanne Lam, Associate in our Criminal Defence Department, and Katniss Su, Trainee, recently attended the “Roundtable on Shanghai-Hong Kong Collaborating in Seizing Belt and Road Opportunities,” held during the Belt and Road Summit at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. The roundtable explored how Hong Kong and Shanghai businesses can work together to capture opportunities arising from the Belt and Road Initiative.
More details of the event

Jointly organised by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) and various Shanghai government units, the roundtable brought together around 120 business delegates from Shanghai keen to explore collaboration opportunities with Hong Kong and overseas business partners.
As Belt and Road initiatives continue to create new avenues for cross-border trade, investment and dispute resolution, platforms like these are invaluable for building connections between Hong Kong and Mainland China’s business and legal communities.
