Partner Felix Ng interviewed by Reuters on CK Hutchison’s Panama ports deal

Earlier this year, Felix Ng, Head of our Antitrust and Competition Law practice, attended an interview with Reuters, discussing the competition / antitrust law and regulatory implications of CK Hutchison’s sale of its Panama Canal ports to the Blackrock Group.

Back in March 2025, the BlackRock-TiL Consortium and CK Hutchison announced an agreement for the consortium to acquire Hutchison Port Holdings’ 90% stake in Panama Ports Company and CK Hutchison’s 80% interest in subsidiaries managing 43 ports across 23 countries, excluding ports in China.

The above photographs were taken by Felix at the Panama Canal in 2016 – he represented Haldanes as a panel speaker in the International Bar Association Transnational Crime Conference in Panama City, and discussed corporate criminal liability in the wake of “Panama Papers” revelations that unfolded earlier that year.
