Willem provides Hong Kong and international tax law advice for corporate and individual clients. Willem has about 25 years practical experience in tax planning and foundation/trust related work. He is specialised in offering advice on various tax issues, e.g. tax efficient shareholding structures, application of double tax treaties, identification of tax risks, transfer pricing, (automatic) exchange of information and HK offshore non-taxable claim. Further, he has experience with resolving tax disputes between tax authorities and clients.

Willem studied fiscal law at the University of Groningen in Holland. He also obtained LL.M tax law degrees from the University of London in the UK & the Queens University in Canada and further an LL.B degree and a Postgraduate Certificate in Laws from the University of HK. He became a qualified solicitor in Hong Kong and is a consultant for the law firm Haldanes. Willem worked in the past for one of the largest Dutch law firms in the Netherlands.
