With more than 13 years of experience as a civil litigator, Yu Kew provides professional advice and representation to both local and overseas clients, including listed and multi-national companies and their directors and various professional clients, with a primary focus on commercial litigation including complex commercial claims, shareholders’ disputes and matters requiring urgent applications for injunctive relief.

Yu Kew has also handled a diverse range of work involving fraud claims, property, tenancy and building management disputes, personal injuries claims, bankruptcy and company winding-up proceedings, judicial review applications, professional disciplinary proceedings, probate disputes as well as some criminal matters and non-contentious probate applications.  His recent notable experience includes a very substantial breach of contract claim involving parallel proceedings in Hong Kong and Mainland China, an appeal of great public importance to the Court of Appeal against a judicial review on the constitutionality of the Organized and Serious Crimes Ordinance and a complex shareholders’ dispute involving four companies and six separate sets of proceedings in the High Court.

In addition, Yu Kew practises as a Notary Public and regularly assists clients on the notarisation, authentication and legalisation of documents for use in various overseas jurisdictions.
