Haldanes advises on HK$473 million Kowloon Funeral Parlour acquisition

Haldanes is pleased to have advised the buyer on the HK$473 million acquisition of Kowloon Funeral Parlour.

Led by our Real Estate Partner Kenley Mak, our Real Estate Team held a leading role throughout all negotiations of the transaction and assisted client to complete the acquisition of the three-storey Tai Kok Tsui facility (40,000 sq. ft. across 16 service halls), together with the related funeral parlour licence and trading assets.

Haldanes also advised the financing bank in the transaction.

Famous for hosting Bruce Lee’s public memorial in 1973, the transaction represents an exceptionally unique transaction given the extreme scarcity of funeral parlour licences in Hong Kong.
