As a flagship programme of the 3rd edition of Hong Kong Fashion Fest, “Future Threads: Menswear’s New Waves Between Italy and Hong Kong,” is organised by the Hong Kong Design Centre in collaboration with the Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana (CNMI), organiser of Milan Fashion Week, and sponsored by the Cultural and Creative Industries Development Agency. The exhibition opened on 2 September at Fashion Walk in Causeway Bay and runs until 13 September with free public admission.
Curated by CNMI International New Talent and Brands Ambassador Sara Sozzani Maino under the theme “INFLECTION,” the show brings together ten emerging menswear designers from Italy and Hong Kong. It aims to address the rapidly growing menswear market and fill a gap in Asia’s fashion landscape, which has traditionally focused more heavily on womenswear.
The participating brands include Hong Kong labels such as ÆNRMÒUS, MURFI LAU, PONDER.ER, THE WORLD IS YOUR OYSTER and WILSONKAKI, alongside Italian designers DOMENICO OREFICE, GROSSI, MATERIA, MTL STUDIO and others. Their collections explore contemporary menswear through experimental materials, fluid silhouettes, gender-fluid approaches and sustainable craftsmanship, offering an exclusive preview of Spring/Summer 2027 trends.
The project marks the first strategic collaboration between the Hong Kong Design Centre and CNMI. By placing European and Asian design languages in dialogue, the exhibition highlights how a new generation of designers is redefining male dressing codes and creating cross-cultural creative exchange between the two fashion capitals.
2. Fashion Asia Hong Kong Marked 10th Anniversary with First “10 Asian Designers To Watch” Fashion Show and Awards

To celebrate its 10th anniversary, Fashion Asia Hong Kong expanded its long-running “10 Asian Designers To Watch” platform into a full fashion show and award ceremony held on 3 September alongside the Hong Kong Fashion Fest Gala. An accompanying exhibition is on view at Peak Galleria until 13 September, featuring work by designers from mainland China, Hong Kong, Thailand, South Korea and the Philippines.
The selected designers each develop distinct visual languages grounded in craftsmanship, personal memory and practical business considerations. Mainland designer Sifan Chen draws inspiration from Shanghai street observations and traditional Guizhou weaving techniques; Thai designer Disaya Sorakraikitikul treats cultural techniques as emotional starting points rather than literal reproductions; and Hong Kong’s Kinyan Lam prioritises everyday wear and customer needs over short-term trends.
Other participants include South Korea’s LEJE, who reinterpret traditional crafts such as mother-of-pearl inlay and royal motifs within modern silhouettes; Filipino designers Roko Arceo of Maligaya Clothing Co. and Prince Padilla of NOVEL, who emphasise sustainability and material-led processes; and mainland teams NULLUS and SEAN SUEN, who explore relaxed structures, cultural depth and long-term brand identity beyond surface symbolism.
Across conversations with the designers, common themes emerge: the challenge of balancing artistic integrity with commercial viability, the desire to present Asian culture on their own terms rather than through Western filters, and a shared interest in craft, gender fluidity and slower, more thoughtful approaches to fashion. The platform underscores how a new generation is collectively reshaping Asia’s fashion narrative from Shanghai to Manila.

Organised by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council and sponsored by the Cultural and Creative Industries Development Agency as a flagship programme of the 3rd edition of Hong Kong Fashion Fest, the 11th edition of CENTRESTAGE is taking place at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. For the first time the four-day fair is open free of charge to both trade buyers and the general public.
This year’s event has attracted a record-breaking approximately 270 international brands from 24 countries and regions, alongside more than 40 activities including over 30 fashion shows. HKTDC Associate Executive Director Ms. Smilely Lam noted that the platform leverages Hong Kong’s role as an international business hub and “super-connector,” helping local brands reach overseas buyers while enabling international labels to expand into Asia.
A major new feature is the Hype² pavilion, dedicated to streetwear and trend-driven brands led by local celebrities and KOLs. Participating labels include Claro by Rosita Kwok, OGIS by Vincent Wong, PICK AND MATCH by Kelvin Kwan, ROSEMA.ESE x Jaime Cheung by Jaime Cheung and Ariel Leung, and XPX by Pakho Chau. Several brands are launching limited-edition or debut products during the fair, with a dedicated Hype² Fashion Show held on 4 September.
The exhibition also features seven thematic zones, including a new Perfume zone that brings together more than 20 fragrance brands from Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam and elsewhere that have not previously been sold in Hong Kong, alongside local labels such as OCO. The expanded programme underscores CENTRESTAGE’s growing international influence and Hong Kong’s position as a regional fashion and creative hub.

Rolex has officially revealed four unique gem-set Cosmograph Daytona watches that were first shown discreetly at Watches and Wonders earlier this year. The pieces will be offered at a Phillips charity auction in London on 28 September 2026. The Spring model (Ref. 126599 SAVL) features an 18K white-gold case with a chrysoprase dial, lepidolite chronograph counters and purple sapphire hour markers, while the bezel is set with 36 trapezoid-cut purple sapphires. The Summer version (Ref. 126595 SARO) uses 18K Everose gold with a turquoise dial, “heart of ruby” counters and pink sapphire markers, complemented by a bezel of 36 trapezoid-cut pink sapphires.
Autumn (Ref. 126598 TML) is rendered in 18K yellow gold with a mookaite dial, chrysoprase counters and green tourmaline markers, its bezel set with 36 green tourmalines. Winter (Ref. 126596 SABV) is crafted in 950 platinum with a blue opal dial, lapis lazuli counters and diamond hour markers; the bezel is set with 36 sapphire stones that transition from blue to purple-red.
All proceeds from the auction will benefit two charitable organisations: the Federer Foundation, founded by tennis champion Roger Federer to support early childhood education in southern Africa and Switzerland, and Re:wild, the conservation organisation co-founded by actor Leonardo DiCaprio that focuses on protecting and restoring wild ecosystems worldwide.
